The Genesee County Road Commission is offering seasonal work opportunities from May through August throughout Genesee County at our various work locations. The work assignments support GCRC general road maintenance and/or construction projects. The work duties include but are not limited to: 

• Pothole patching and shoveling
• Flagging for traffic control
• Roadside cleanup and hauling brush
• General cleaning and lawn maintenance
• Survey rodman/laborer and construction inspection assistant 

Applicants must be able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs. while climbing and walking on uneven terrain in hot weather conditions. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age by May 1, 2026, possess a valid Michigan Driver's License, and provide proof of college enrollment as a full-time student for the 2026 fall semester. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour, working 40 hours per week Monday through Thursday.
